BitTorrent is the antithesis of app stores. The future of open game releases is torrents with
pay-what-you-want built into the game.

The solution to closed app stores is not more app stores.
The solution is decentralise entirely; publish your game / app as a torrent file and after users have used it for a
while, ask them if they would like to pay. Because, basically, it’s the same thing as what’s already happening:
some choose to pay by going to the store, and some choose to not pay by pirating. So why differentiate? Why two
distribution channels? Why do pirates have to stay pirates by only being able to get their softwares from the
strictly non-pay isle? If they can change isles any time, some will.
BTW, It’s funny how HTML is being used to drive all these closed app store
interfaces.
